David Smith of Hartlepool chess club has advised CCA of the following:-
Keith is to be cremated on Wednesday 20th November 10:30 am at Stranton Cemetery, Tanfield Road, Hartlepool, TS25 5DD.
All are invited to the Travellers Rest pub, which is nearby, afterwards.
Just a reminder that the first break in the league fixtures is approaching. It is week commencing 25/11/19. This is an ideal opportunity for team captains to arrange those first round K.O. cup matches.

Dave Baillie of Redcar Chess club has asked me to post the following announcement:-
It is with great sadness that Redcar Chess Club report the passing of our dear friend Richard Moore. Richard’s membership of Redcar Chess Club stretches back over 70 years. He has also played an active role in Cleveland Chess and the ECF where he held the post of Fund Trustee for many years. A true gentleman in every sense of the word, Richard had many friends at every level of the game and set the standard for competence and diligence in every office he held. Richard played chess to a high standard but always placed the game itself and respect for his opponent above winning or losing. A service for Richard will take place at St Bede’s Chapel, Middlesbrough Crematorium at 1.00pm on Friday 1st November followed by a reception at Acklam Hall.

Best of luck to all teams taking part.
