Handicap Challenge Cup

Presented by Bedford L Dorman 1911

Norman Stephenson has handed this cup back to CCA . Possible destination is the Dorman Museum, the curator is keen to have it with history of the most notable players.

Its future to be decided in due course.

Norman last won this cup in 1975.(and on numerous other occasions)

Picture 1 shows the cup as it was when Ernie Lazenby 1st took possession of it to photograph it, as you can see it was in need of some repair.

Picture 2 shows the cup after Ernie Lazenby had used his modelling skills to repair it



NB Dorman is of Dorman & Long fame- solid silver hallmarked.

Challenge Trophy 1886

Sold at Auction on Friday 23rd Nov 2007
For £15,000 less commission and costs.

The 1886 Challenge Trophy was presented to A Div League winners until the CCA found out that it was worth a tidy sum. This trophy was then retired to a bank vault for safe keeping.
