Dear Chessplayers

The annual NCCU Club Championships is about to start and entries will be accepted up to next weekend.

It is a great competition, it's open to all clubs in the North of England and is run under the aegis of the Northern Counties Chess Union. It certainly makes a change from playing against the clubs you always play! We are trying to make this the premier chess club knock out competition in the country and have introduced innovations such as a repechage system to guarantee more than one match. There is a £100 first prize and £50 runners-up in each section. The winners each hold a trophy and are the Champions of the North of England.

Any queries then please let me know. I hope your club will enter.

If you are not interested then apologies for bothering you and also apologies if you get more than one copy of this e-mail.

Regards

Dave Farley
