Best Game Competition
BEST GAME Competition for the Bobby Fischer memorial Trophy.
Ernie Lazenby will continue as co-ordinator for the 'Best Game' of the season competition. The winner to be awarded the Bobby Fischer Trophy to keep for a year (Trophy featured on the CCA trophy page)

Anyone wishing to enter the competition should email their games to in PGN or Chessbase formats. Norman Stephenson very kindly judged last seasons competition and has indicated a willingness to do so again. This competition is open to all CCA registered players. Games should be submitted during the season rather than waiting until near the end.

CCA credits page has been updated and a explanation on how it functions

The grading list has been updated, the Credit column has been removed. A new page is now online - CCA Credits, this page can be found under the 'League' link. 'Credits' will cover Clubs that default boards, ECF players & NCCU MO players that are eligible. The credits will be reimbursed to the Clubs at the end of the season by the CCA Treasurer.

Credits for the KO Cup will be added at a later date.

2. Duties & Responsibilities - REMOVED
4. Due Dates - All fees to be paid in by 30th September
8. Teams - A Div now 5 players per team.
8.4.7 The proposal that was carried was
Subject to 8.4.5 & 8.4.8, there shall be no restrictions on the number of games played by club members for teams in different divisions - Ed (I think it may have been re-worded slightly), but in simple terms it means, nominated players & non-nominated players can play up as many times as they are required in any division..

9.10 Proposal Carried - 1hr 30min for 36 moves, 15min allegro finish
9.13.1 Proposal Carried with a slight amendment - this was substituting a player that does not fit in with the 10 points grading order - the amendment was - player & the captain of the opposing team are able to reject or accept the offer.
10.2 Carried with slight amendment - this was the Appeals - amendment was
Each club shall be invited to nominate members

It was 10.43pm and we just got a few quick items in before closing the meeting @ 10.45pm

All matches to be played at home team venue

There are many other minor changes but I hope the above main points give Clubs the info they need to sort out how many teams they are entering into CCA Events.

This differs slightly from the online grading list, it shows the 08 grade and the grade in (.) is the new ECF re-calculated grade (due to deflation) which will come into effect for season 09/10.
